Pricing Information

Review pricing twice a year, see what your competitors are doing. Cover price increases should be between 25-50 cents each time, consumers who enjoy your magazine will continue to buy it. For a special issue, or one which is especially thick, raise your price.

The best time to raise your cover price is in the fall, as issues at the beginning of the year are usually thinner. It is important to get new UPC codes for a price change. Your newsstand distributor will need to be advised of your changes months ahead of time.
