As a competitive market,
the race to obtain newsstand space moves at a fast pace. At TransMedia Group
we understand that our customers want and deserve equal space.
With a dedicated team of representatives who are regularly increasing their
knowledge of the marketplace and who consistently seek out opportunities,
we are ensuring that we provide optimum exposure to all clients.
We believe the marketplace consists of the following three retail outlet classifications
for which publications are distributed.
Chains
Providing the greatest potential for sales on a national and regional level
this market consists of supermarkets, drug stores, department stores, convenience
stores and bookstores. The greatest method for entry is to present an RDA
program to the respective buyers that provides for a display allowance equal
to 10% of the cover price and obtain from the buyers a signed authorization
allowing wholesalers to service these stores.
Independent
The classic stores commonly known as the "Mom and Pop" corner stores and
they are placed on distribution based upon their current sales of like
titles and their customer demographics.
Specialty Shops
Represented as special interest stores, like Hobby and Craft shops, distribution
here is generally determined by both the nature of the title and retailer.
